The singer, pictured below, and the band will compete for Best Song, for Poker Face and Use Somebody respectively, Best Live Act and Best World Stage Performance, with Gaga also nominated for Best Female and Best New Act, while Kings of Leon are also up for the Best Group and Best Rock awards.
Beyonce Knowles follows them in the nominations list, receiving nods in four categories, while Eminem and Green Day are each up for three accolades.
American artists dominate the shortlists, with Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Kanye West and Black Eyed Peas each named in two categories. U2 are the only non-American stars to receive more than one nomination, competing for Best Live Act and Best Rock. - Bang
