Bassline throws great birthday bash

AFRO-POP singer Chomee had revellers eating out of her hand on Friday night at the Bassline, Newtown.

The singer was among several top musicians performing at Bassline's birthday bash.

Chomee might not be the greatest singer around but on stage she always leaves the crowd begging for more. Her energetic and entertaining stage performance has made her a household name.

Another singer who got the audience ou of their chairs was Winnie Khumalo.

Performing her hit song, Live My Life, she absolutely blew the crowd away.

In between performances DJs were given a chance to entertain the audience and they did not disappoint. Veteran disc juggler Oskido proved once again that he knows his stuff.

Also on the bill were Vusi Mahlasela and McCoy Mrubata. From his first song Mahlasela held the room's attention.

He has a unique guitar style that comes over like a complete band but can also enthral with his impressive a cappella variations.

Other artists who also performed on the night were Malik, Pro, Bleksem, KB, DJ Cleo and DJ Oskido.

With that great line-up music fans danced until the early hours of Saturday morning.
