THE trial of a woman who allegedly conned people out of millions of rands with a pyramid scheme was postponed yesterday.
Daisy Mogale appeared briefly in the special commercial crimes court in Johannesburg before her case was postponed to October 19.
Mogale had to face some of her alleged victims while waiting outside court.
She allegedly conned thousands of investors in a get-rich-quick investment scheme under the name of Young Stars Investments.
The company also traded as Double Star Investments and Triple Star Investments.
Sars raised assessments for tax on Young Stars Investments of R45million and on the sole member, Mogale, of R4,7million.
Though the company was liquidated, Mogale is alleged to have continued holding presentations at hotels to convince other victims to invest in a similar scheme under a different name.
