Swim bladder makes fish float

MOST fish have a special organ called a swim bladder. It is filled with gas to make the fish buoyant. The amount of gas in the swim bladder can be altered, depending on how deep the fish is swimming. For example, if fish are in very deep water some of the gas is pumped out of the swim bladder.
