Ngcongca dreaming of 2010

NEW Bafana Bafana recruit Anele Ngcongca has described the games against Germany and Ireland as a golden opportunity for him to realise his dream of featuring in the 2010 World Cup.

NEW Bafana Bafana recruit Anele Ngcongca has described the games against Germany and Ireland as a golden opportunity for him to realise his dream of featuring in the 2010 World Cup.

"I was on cloud nine after receiving a call to say I've been included in the Bafana Bafana team to play against Germany and Ireland," said the defender, who plays for Genk in Belgium.

"I knew that it was bound to happen. With the 2010 World Cup taking place in my country of birth, I have been praying hard to be given a chance so that I can also feature in the finals."

Ngcongca, who is from Gugulethu in Cape Town, will travel to Germany today to join Bafana Bafana in their first training session for Saturday night's game against Germany.

"It will be a great thing to meet the guys, the plan is to use the two games to impress the coaches," he said. "I know a lot of people back home are eager to see me in action."
