State ropes in unions

GOVERNMENT has asked unions for their help in dealing with the social difficulties it faces, Tahir Sema, spokesperson for the SA Municipal Workers Union said in a statement yesterday.

Sema said the government has approached them about having a collective approach in dealing with corruption, nepotism and service delivery protests.

The team was established by Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Sicelo Shiceka.

"We foresee positive outcomes from this partnership," Sema said. - Sapa
