CONTROVERSIAL actress-cum-musician Khanyisile Mbau is back with SABC2's Muvhango as Doobsie.
Last year Sowetan reported that Mbau was negotiating with Word of Mouth about coming back to the show, but Muvhango publicist Nonkululeko Ndlovu and Mbau herself denied the news.
Asked why she had denied that she was coming back, Mbau told Sowetan that she was in negotiations with Word of Mouth at the time and was scared she might say the wrong things.
"I did not want to jeopardise my chances of getting the job by saying things about our negotiations."
In 2007 Muvhango executive producer Duma Ndlovu said Doobsie would be retired from Muvhango in honour of Lindiwe Chibi after her death from pneumonia.
Yesterday Mbau said it felt nice to be back.
"I am happy to be back on TV," she said "I don't know how long I will be in the show. I don't know what the producers plan for the character. I pray that it will be something permanent."
Mbau is also busy shooting her own reality TV show called Being Khanyisile Mbau. It is modeled after Kimora's Reality Show on the DStv's Style Network.
Host Kimora Lee Simmons is the wife of Russell Simmons and chief executive officer of the Baby Phat clothing line.
The show will follow Mbau through her daily routine of living her life and raising her child.
