SOUTH Africa has a new Afro- pop star in the making - the well-connected Vusi Ndimufumene - whose new album is reportedly making waves on the market.
Released three weeks ago through EMI, the sales have now reached thousands of copies, and the future appears to be looking good for the well-travelled Ndimufumene.
He told Sowetan that he was happy with the turn of things.
With sales having reportedly reached 3000 copies within three weeks, and still going up, this compares well with sales for established artists.
"It is quite amazing how people have reacted to the album, especially for a debut album with almost every station playing the music, with the exception of one," he said.
"I have travelled and performed in Zambia and Mozambique in the past, but this is my first album, and I'm quite happy with it."
