MALAIKA still kicking high

As YOU know we love things and will mingle with anyone as long as there are beautiful people and loads to drink.

As YOU know we love things and will mingle with anyone as long as there are beautiful people and loads to drink.

So last week Friday we were invited by Hloni Modise of Sony Music to cover Malaika performing their single, Mmatswale, off the album with the same name, at Urban Brew Studios.

The idea was to surprise band members Tshedi Mholo and Bongani Nchang and producer Godfrey "Guffy" Pilane by giving them platinum discs from their last album, Sekunjalo.

All went well. Tshedi looked beautiful as usual but we were shocked by the fact that Guffy was wearing morning sleepers at 10pm - and appearing on Live!nogal.

Guffy came to the show with one forgotten artist by the name of Brown Dash.

For the entire night he was wearing shades at the Randburg studios and when we went to an eatery in Alex - Brown Dash was still wearing the shades.

Nhlanhla Nciza also performed her song La La La for the first time on Live!

Big ups to De Javu who are revamping Malaika.

The De Javu trio of Vuyo, Lucoh and Linda are also responsible for changing Malaika's album sleeve, making Bongani and Tshedi look stunning.
