Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
WE ARE tired of President Jacob Zuma's constant rhetoric about replacing corrupt, lazy and irresponsible councillors and officials.
The riots and upheavals in Balfour and Mashishing were the result of stubborn and corrupt mayors who benefit from corruption. People want them out because they do not deliver services. But they remain in charge and Zuma is silent. Some people died when police, who were told to shoot to kill , fired live bullets.
It is about time that we leaders are honest with ourselves. The Balfour and Mashishing riots were apolitical. The poor and frustrated residents wanted to highlight their plight but their grievances fell on the deaf ears of irresponsible leaders.
People still have no water, houses and jobs while mayors continue to buy expensive cars and Gwede Mantashe protects them.
It is about time that Zuma acts and axes his loyal, corrupt comrades, who continue to be arrogant while people drink water with animals and sleep on empty stomachs.
It is astonishing that the ANC now uses funerals to intimidate people. Julius Malema's statement at the funeral of Limpopo Public Works MEC Pandelani Ramakoma reflects arrogance and hooliganism. The riots are not orchestrated and the ANC Youth League, its leaders or members will not stop the demonstrations, only speedy service delivery will. People are tired of lies and that is why they protest.
We know who the corrupt municipal leaders are, but because they are " comrades" they will retain their jobs. Zuma, act before you will lose integrity.
