THE ninth of 16 tournaments in the 2009 @lantic 7s series moves to Glenwood High in Durban on Saturday with the first match kicking off at 8.30am.
The cup final will be played at 4pm. Three teams that participated in last year's season-ending Champions Tournament, namely Glenwood, Middelburg and Excelsior, will be in action as well as some of KwaZulu-Natal's traditonally strong rugby schools like Kearsney College, Maritzburg College, Westville and Durban High School.
The @lantic series is an excellent opportunity for the smaller schools to compete against the larger and traditionally strong rugby schools, sports promoter Willem Strauss again emphasised on Monday.
The participating teams on Saturday are: Kearsney College, Glenwood High, Port Natal, Excelsior Secondary, HS Overkruin, HS Parys, Kokstad College, HTS Tuine, Clifton College, Northwood Boys High, Estcourt High, KZN Development, Pinetown Boys, HS Middelburg, Sarel Cilliers, Maritzburg College, Westville Boys High School, Durban High School and George Campbell.
Last weekend HS Pionier from Vryheid won the tournament at Secunda by beating HS Middelburg 17-14 in the final. - Sapa
