AMEN Redi Direko! I too am tired of the taxi industry bullying us and dictating what should happen on our roads. They are not democratic.
A Joburg man gave me a great idea the other day when we were talking about the BRT. Instead of looking at it as a replacement for taxis, think of it as a top-up service. Local government in particular should stand firm in the face of taxi thuggery. People need an alternative and Joburg ratepayers have already paid for the BRT. We should be able to use it.
