The horrific incident occurred on Friday, August 7 when a couple and their twin children were deliberately set alight in the domestic quarters of a house.
The mother, a 38-year-old Zimbabwean national died that night after sustaining 95percent burns to her body.
The father, known only as Thabo, and the twin boy and girl all died last week.
The dead woman's brother Robert Mojo has confirmed to Sowetan that the twins were the couple's biological children.
Mojo's 18-year-old son Lucky Ndlovu, who lives in Soweto with his father, said that he had visited his mother on that fateful Friday morning of the fire.
He said Mojo and her boyfriend were arguing over R200 that needed to be sent to Zimbabwe for groceries.
Ndlovu also alleged that his mother had sustained injuries to her head two months ago from the father of the twins.
The Blairgowrie Trust Fund hosted a press conference yesterday during which it was said that the father of the twins, who was from KwaZulu-Natal, had also lost his family to a fire.
According to Ronelle Johnson-Hoskins, spokesperson for the Blairgowrie Trust Fund, Mojo had six other children between the ages of eight and thirteen in Zimbabwe and that they hoped to use the trust money to assist the surviving children.
She said: "The funeral will be held in South Africa as it will cost too much for the bodies to be taken to Zimbabwe. We hope to have the funeral next Sunday but Mojo's mother has to be brought to South Africa first."
Johnson-Hoskins also announced that Twenty First Century Funerals had offered to bury the fire victims while Pick and Pay have offered a R1000 food voucher.
The police were not notified about Ndlovu as a witness, however according to Johnson-Hoskins the attorney appointed by the trust will submit a statement to police.
