A JOHANNESBURG man is so desperate to find his father that he has taken his mother to the family court to force her to reveal his dad's identity.

A JOHANNESBURG man is so desperate to find his father that he has taken his mother to the family court to force her to reveal his dad's identity.

But the mother says she does not know who the father is because her son Jabu Kenny, 36, was conceived after a one-night-stand with a white man she didn't know.

Magdelene Ngomane, 66, was working for a white family in Killarney, Johannesburg, when she fell pregnant. The man never returned.

The Mpumalanga-born woman is being pestered by her son, Kenny, to introduce him to his white father. She says she can't remember the man.

Kenny said his mother and late aunt were made pregnant by white men.

"It looks like my mother and her sister were competing for white men. I have a cousin who is in the same predicament," Kenny says.

Kenny has taken his ailing mother to the Johannesburg family court with the hope of forcing her to tell him the truth.

"She once introduced me to another white man, saying he could be my father. After nagging him for years he agreed to undergo DNA tests with us last year. He was exonerated by the blood tests," says Kenny.

Ngomane says: "I told my son that I can't remember this man because I met him once. He must stop being impossible and be thankful that I never thought of aborting him. In my family we have a lot of such children. Even my grandmother had a white man."

Kenny, a driver at a flower shop in Parktown, says he will not rest until he finds his father.
