scara just wants to play again

EMMANUEL "Scara" Ngobese is itching for action.

EMMANUEL "Scara" Ngobese is itching for action.

He has been out in the wilderness for more than a season and is prepared to play for free.

Football is what he knows best.

His ambition to return to the Absa Premiership was put on hold after Mamelodi Sundowns told him and other triallists to stay at home after some weeks of training at Chloorkop.

"I want to return to action and my heart is in the Premiership," the stylish linkman told Sowetan yesterday.

Though the Brazilians have told him and other players who were attending trials at the team "not to call us, we will call you", the former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder remained adamant he had made an impression during his trial at Downs.

"I'm convinced I have impressed the coach (Hristo Stoichkov) and I don't rule out the possibility of playing for Sundowns this season.

"I'm fit again and eager to play competitively. I don't care which team I join in the PSL as long as they will afford me an opportunity to play football again."

Junior Khanye and other players from different countries on the content also tried their luck at Sundowns and were told to stay home until they were called.

Ngobese is one of the most enterprising players in the country and his darting moves and trickery in the middle of the park have endeared him to many soccer fans.

He last play for the relegated Thanda Royal Zulu but was later diagnosed with tuberculosis, which sidelined him for a season.

Sundowns chief scout Trott Moloto could not be reached for comment at print time yesterday.
