Zimbabwe state radio reported yesterday that the bus swerved to avoid another stationary truck on the highway 80km south of Harare on Sunday.
The crash was close to the site of the accident in which Susan Tsvangirai, wife of prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai, died in March. In May 30 people died in a bus crash on the same stretch of highway.
Bus accidents are common in Zimbabwe and are blamed on excessive speed, poor maintenance of vehicles, worn tyres and poor roads.
