I GET very perturbed to see children as young as nine going for initiation under the guise of manhood.

I GET very perturbed to see children as young as nine going for initiation under the guise of manhood.

What worries me the most is that when these kids return from initiation, they think they are men and can sleep with every woman they lay their eyes on, which in African terms is utter disrespect. Added to this, these poor lads are also at risk of contracting diseases.

I plead with parents and traditional leaders to pursue initiation when boys are older .
