The game will take place on November 14 at the stadium where one of the semifinals will be played next year.
Europe-based players, led by Shunsuke Nakamura, who plays in Spain for Espanyol, are expected to join the Japanese team.
After the game Japan will move on to Hong Kong for a qualifying match in the Asian Cup.
"It is good to play a game in South Africa. It will be good preparation for our players and staff," Okada said.
Other Pacific Rim nations that have qualified for the Cup are Australia, and South and North Korea. - AFP
