Under-20 squad aim to send Angola packing

THE saying that lighting does not strike twice in the same place will be put to the test by Amajita, who hope to make it two in a row against Angola.

This final leg of the two friendly matches will be staged at Galeshewe Stadium, Kimberley, tomorrow.

Amajita thrashed Angola 3-0 in the first leg on Wednesday at the same venue through Phumelele Bhengu, Thabo Moleko and Choppa Mboweni's goals. The matches were part of Amajita's preparations for the World Youth Championships scheduled for Egypt in September.

Maqsood "Mackey" Chenia, Amajita's assistant coach, said they were confident of finishing the duel with a clean sweep against the visitors:

"We will give everybody a run to ensure that they are assessed for the final selection to the world event," Chenia said yesterday. "We have worked on our striking force that failed to convert the myriad of chances that were created on Wednesday.

"We will continue to use the 3-4-3 formation we are planning to adopt as our new pattern. We need to improve because this match will be a barometer to judge our strength."

It is expected that players like Thulane Serero, Thulane "Tyson" Hlatshwayo and Thela Ngobeni, who missed out Wednesday's encounter, will be in the starting line-up.

Sameegh Doutie and Kamohelo Mokotjo will sit out tomorrow's match but will leave with the team for Bulgaria on Sunday.

Chenia's troops will take part in a Four Nations Cup tournament that will involve Bulgaria, Hungry and Ghana until July 27 and then leave again on July 30 for another Four Nations Cup event in Japan involving Korea and Egypt.
