RITAVI police near Tzaneen in Limpopo have arrested two suspects, a mother and her son, on charges of murdering the woman's husband.

Patrick Ngobeni went missing on June 27 and his body was discovered on Wednesday last week in the bushes at Ntwanano section in Khujwana village.

Ngobeni had visited his wife Florah Xhikweni and her son Matimba Ngobeni at Ntwanano, about 15km from NkowaNkowa in Tzaneen.

The spokesperson for the SAPS in Ritavi, Inspector Seth Magadzi, said the body was found with several stab wounds to the face, nose and neck.

The pair appeared briefly in the Ritavi magistrate's court yesterday and were denied bail. They are expected to appear in court again next Monday. - Michael Sakuneka
