Bafana band for support off field

WHAT a great life we have, so off we went to a Bafana Bafana launch of their social project called "Buy a band and donate a rand".

WHAT a great life we have, so off we went to a Bafana Bafana launch of their social project called "Buy a band and donate a rand".

This initiative is the national team showing support for the country. The host was the beautiful Carol Manana, who sounds more and more like Bonang of Live with that sexy voice of hers. Also present was the face of the project Aaron Mokoena.

Now you know we know nothing about football and only went there to look at the boys, but we were fascinated to see so many fashionistas there, like the beautiful Sashi Naidoo, who told us how excited she was to be going to Zanzibar with Tropika.

Oh, Aaron is a kind one because he is not just the face of the project but also has his own Aaron Mokoena foundation, which helps the young improve their soccer skills.

He said since returning from Europe he has made it his mission to help others.

SABC 2010 project manager Nothemba Madumo was her usual gracious and sexy self. We are not sure how old she is but we want to look like her when we grow up.

David Kekana was furiously taking notes during the press conference and we had to admire his stone linen suit, which he complemented with a Confed tie and cufflinks.

Vivian Casaletti knows what she is doing. The petite MD of Slam told us all why we were there and why it was important to support the national team and our underprivileged communities.

Pick n Pay are the distributors who showed support by buying loads of the bands. The Trust, which represents more than 50 charities, is the charity which will benefit.

A great morning with fabulous food. Well done, Bafana, for helping our youth.

Now you go out there and get a band because you are helping charity.

We have three and hope to meet the rest of the team.
