The new public protector says she will leave the dispute over the state capture report prepared by h.
I AM sick and tired of the government ignoring corruption. We have heard a lot about corruption in all spheres of government. Municipalities are the worst, from tender irregularities to financial mismanagement and theft.
The government always talks strongly about tackling corruption, but this is usually just talk. Corruption is everywhere. Police attack and rob people and drink on duty yet no action is taken against them.
The police and government always promise to investigate any cases of corruption reported to them but we never get the results of these investigations.
What happened to the Sunnyside police who were caught drinking on duty? As far as I know, nothing happened to them.
Just recently mandrax tablets worth over R3million disappeared from a police station. An "investigation is under way", claimed the police. Why must police investigate themselves? No wonder cases against the police end up nowhere.
It boggles the mind that some innocent South African women find themselves illegally married to foreign men they do not know. How does this happen? Home Affairs has promised to rid the country of corrupt officials in its midst? We are still waiting for Home Affairs to tell us who is behind this.
Recently Bafana Ntuli was exposed by e.tv and Sowetan for selling RDP houses meant for the poor. Ntuli mentioned the people he allegedly works with in the department of housing, yet no one has been apprehended.
Please act accordingly. We are sick and tired of your tough talk. We want action. Practise what you preach.
