"Several new contracts have been secured with banking institutions which, coupled with existing business, necessitated new space for our trucking and heavy metal division," says Dewald van der Nest, general manager of Aucor's trucking division.
He explains that the new yard in the heart of Blue Hills, Midrand, more than doubles Aucor's Midrand footprint. It adds a sizeable 55 000m² to the existing 18 000m² trucking yard and the 40 000m² occupied by head office.
Aucor will launch the new yard with a triple auction - construction, mining and trucking - and coming under the hammer will be one of the largest ranges of industrial equipment to be auctioned this year.
"The lots include high-value, late model repossessed mining, construction and heavy equipment, together with various late model repossessed trucks, semi-trailers and 4- and 8-tonners," says Van der Nest. "The banks made a special effort to release stock in anticipation of the opening of our new yard and it will be an excellent opportunity for truck and yellow-metal fleet operators and dealers to pick up an extensive range of items at excellent prices."
The auction will take place on Tuesday, July 14, at 10.30am in Olifantsfontein Road, Midrand.
