Man on the run caught in Tembisa

A 24-YEAR-OLD Mozambican man, wanted for crimes ranging from murder to hijacking, was re-arrested in Tembisa yesterday, Mpumalanga police said.

A 24-YEAR-OLD Mozambican man, wanted for crimes ranging from murder to hijacking, was re-arrested in Tembisa yesterday, Mpumalanga police said.

Isack Mathebula escaped from custody in eMalahleni by using the name of a suspect who had been released on bail, said police.

Earlier Mathebula was arrested after he was caught driving a vehicle that had been stolen from Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga.

Police were searching for him in connection with the hijacking and killing of two men in eMalahleni. - Sapa
