US stocks take a tumble

STOCKS in the United States fell yesterday as investors turned cautious ahead of earnings season.

Signalling the economy's difficulty in rebounding from a recession, a member of President Barack Obama's economic advisory panel said the US must start thinking of a second round of stimulus funds to prop up the economy.

The loss of confidence in the economic recovery has also sent oil prices tumbling. - Reuters
