THE Mpumalanga government is investigating allegations of corruption and nepotism against a senior official at Ermelo Hospital, who is also the provincial deputy chairperson of Nehawu.

This follows allegations by staff members against administrative manager Sibusiso Malaza, who they accuse of mismanagement and not being properly qualified for his position.

Spokesperson for the provincial department of health and social development Mpho Gabashane said the allegations "are part of ongoing investigations both by the premier's office and the department".
