Two wins on the weekend for Ma-Indies Ladies saw the team jump from third place to top spot in the province.
Ma-Indies romped to a 3-0 win over Botlokwa Ladies and then proceeded to thrash Tshandama Y Stars 4-0. Brazilian Ladies dropped to second spot on the log, despite beating King Stars 3-0. Stars boast the likes of Banyana Banyana striker Noko Matlou, who scored a brace on the day, as well as left back Lebogang Thobejane.
Still, Brazilian Ladies have a game in hand on Ma-Indies and are only two points adrift.
On the other hand, third-placed Mphahlele Ladies dropped two points when they drew 1-1 with Green Eagles, a result that leaves them three points off the top.
In Gauteng, Palace Super Falcons appear to be the untouchables of the province, thrashing Soweto Ladies 14-0 on Saturday.
With a game in hand, they are eight points clear of Croesus Ladies.
Last weekend also saw a dramatic 6-all thriller between third-placed Luso Ladies and Mamelodi Sundowns.
