POLICE in Mpumalanga have arrested four men found in possession of a kudu and springbok during a stop-and-search operation.
The carcasses were being transported in a Toyota bakkie, which was also confiscated.
Constable Hastings Chaane of Mmametlhake near Hammanskraal said police officers arrested the four on Monday evening.
The men told the police they had caught the animals in a trap on a farm near Lefiso.
Two of the men are from Spitstunt and two from Lefiso.
Chaane said the men were expected to appear in the Temba magistrates' court near Hammanskraal today charged with possessing dead game without a permit.
