This after they resolved to stage their seven-bout programme at Nirvana Secondary School in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg, on Friday night.
The two had intended to present their show at Finetown's multipurpose centre, near Lenasia, but Hilmer said that broadcast partner the SABC was unimpressed with the lights in this venue.
The public broadcaster has exclusive rights to the main bout - an international 10-rounder between Patrick Malinga and Malik Kinyogoli from Tanzania in the lightweight division.
"In fact they said their commentators cannot go there because there is no Telkom [phone] line," he said. "I then spoke to Imran Khan, who has champions in a boxing club in Lenasia, and he suggested the Nirvana Secondary School because it had all the facilities that are required by the SABC."
Hilmer said the school's hall is almost twice the size of the multipurpose hall, which takes about 1500 people.
"The SABC has gone there to inspect the venue and was satisfied."
Hope announced that this would be the first ever professional boxing tournament in the former Indian area.
"I urge all residents to come in numbers to be part of history," he said.
The first bout starts at 7.30pm.
Youngsters Allie Frank, Earl Strydom and Nkosinathi Ntshangase will want to impress while Sean Santana (no relation to the Bafana Bafana coach) will take on Congolese fighter Ilunga Makabu in an international cruiserweight six-rounder.
Meanwhile, Cleutus Mbele's consistency has earned him the opportunity to take a step forward in his career.
He will fight for the vacant Gauteng provincial bantamweight title against Klaas Mboyane over 10 rounds.
The main fight will be broadcast live on Blow by Blow at 10pm.
Hope said admission is R40 for adults while children will get in for free.
