BAFANA Bafana technical sponsors, Adidas, will distribute 2010 Fifa World Cup tickets to young South Africans to watch this historic tournament.

This is according to chief executive Herbert Hainer, who describe their generosity as part of their legacy project for the 2010 Fifa World Cup.

Hainer is in the country for the Confederations Cup. He described it as one of the best tournaments he had ever seen, commending the organising committee for a job well done.

He said this boded well for the 2010 World Cup.

"The Confederations Cup has been a roaring success. We are gearing ourselves for a more successful 2010 Fifa World Cup finals, " Hainer said.

As one of Fifa's official partners, the popular German sports apparel company gets tickets for the tournament.

"We will give tickets to school children in South Africa to watch the 2010 Fifa World Cup matches.

"It will be the first time that the World Cup will be played in Africa, so we plan to make it a memorable one for the citizens of this country," Hainer said.

"We are also involved with Fifa on the Goal Project, which is aimed at developing the sport on the continent.

"We help young people in various football projects across Soith Africa"

Hainer added that Adidas was happy with its association with the South African Football Association that began in 1998.
