Correctional Services said that “matters are under control” at Johannesburg’s Sun City Prison on Wed.
I ALWAYS wonder why some parents enrol their children at expensive private schools when there are public schools around the corner from them.
They send children to expensive schools they can' t afford instead of public schools that are cheaper or where they don't have to pay school fees at all.
People think private schools are superior but that mentality is all wrong and needs to be reconsidered.
Just because private schools use English to communicate does not mean that the education is better.
Why do we think that being around white people is the only way of gaining intelligence? Most of those kids become coconuts with fake American accents, but can't even write what they say. Some even neglect their home language.
They have a propensity for thinking they are better than children at public schools.
I went to a public school and though I don't speak English with my mouth half closed adding "you know what I'm saying" after every phrase, I know that I am smart and intelligent.
So I just want to say that it is not all about the school you attend, but about the quality of education you get and what you do with it.
For pupils at public schools who are criticised by coconuts: just hang in there because you will go places.
I know we are living in a global, modern world in which our kids need to be smart to survive, but not all of us can afford private schools.
At the end of the day, all we need is a proper education.
