Bogus attorney granted bail

JABULANI Mokoena, the man who pretended to be an attorney and sold houses to unsuspecting people, was arrested last week.

He appeared in the Johannesburg commercial crime's court yesterday facing two counts of fraud.

Police spokesperson Inspector Sanku Tsunke said Mokoena defrauded two victims of R51400 and R89000 each, with promises to sell them houses.

Mokoena, whose practice is called Ludvonga & Associates and Legal Advisor, is not registered as an attorney with the Law Society of the Northern Provinces. He operated from Klamson House in Commissioner Street, Johannesburg.

Mokoena was granted bail and is expected to appear again soon.
