Aces stays in Witbank

NEWLY promoted Mpumalanga Black Aces have assured their fans that Witbank Stadium would remain their home-ground.

NEWLY promoted Mpumalanga Black Aces have assured their fans that Witbank Stadium would remain their home-ground.

Spokesperson Thabo "T-bose" Moroape said Amazayoni's decision to stay in Witbank, and not relocate to Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, was reached before the club was promoted to the top flight Absa Premiership.

"There is no way we can take our supporters for a ride. We will host most of our matches in Witbank, but we will spread some in other parts of the province including Mbombela, Thulamahashe, Secunda, KwaMhlanga and KaNyamazane Stadiums."

Moroape said there had been no meetings between them and the provincial government relating to the use of Mbombela Stadium.
