Johannesburg police are looking for "queen of bling" and TV actress Khanyisile Mbau.
And there could be another arrest warrant out for her soon. Sowetan can reveal that Douglasdale police are also looking to arrest Mbau in connection with an unrelated charge.
A court official told Sowetan: "The Police are looking for her in connection with a case of theft under false pretences. If she keeps on playing cat-and-mouse, we will have no choice but to circulate the warrant."
This comes after Mbau allegedly failed to pay for clothes she bought from Marcia Muchachita and Joyce Munyai.
Speaking to Sowetan yesterday, a fuming Munyai said Mbau had owed them R34000 since last October for designer handbags, clothes and a Brazilian hairpiece.
Contacted for comment, Mbau said: "Let me talk to these girls and find out exactly what is going on. Phone me after 10 minutes."
She phoned back demanding details of our sources before commenting any further.
"I need to talk to these people who are giving you information so that my lawyers can deal with it," she said.
The two women said they were forced to open a case after Mbau apparently started playing games with them.
"On Thursday I went to make an additional statement. If they have to lock her up, so be it. I know that she is broke but I don't care. I want my money. If we have to involve lawyers in order to get our money, we will do so," said Munyai.
Yesterday our sister paper Sunday World reported that Nelly Sisilana opened a case of crimen injuria and intimidation against Mbau at the Sandton police station.
This after Mbau allegedly wrote "damaging" messages about Sisilana, labelling her a slut. Sisilana alleges that Mbau defamed her after Sunday World reported that she was reportedly having an affair with Mbau's husband Mandla Mthembu. Sisilana said Mbau pasted her cellphone numbers on Facebook after it was revealed that the former was having an affair with Mthembu.
