A Mpumalanga NGO looking after rape victims has suspended its male counsellor for allegedly taking videos of school kids having sex.

The Greater Nelspruit Rape Intervention Programme (Grip), which works with rape survivors in Nelspruit, suspended the counsellor after it was established that he had videos of pupils in compromising positions.

The material were found in a cellphone and laptop belonging to the company.

The counsellor's shenanigans came to light when he was forced to lend a colleague the company cellphone.

"While at the workshop the colleague was shocked to discover the footage of pupils having steamy sex in school uniform. When she returned she blew the whistle," a source said.

"Everybody in management is mystified about where he got the videos.

Now the company wants to establish if he took those videos himself or whether they were sent to him by someone else."

He said the shocked management decided to suspend the worker but when he returned the company's laptop, more videos of the bonking pupils were discovered.

It has since been discovered that the pupils in the video are from Sitfootile Secondary School in Matsulu outside Nelspruit.

Education authorities were not available for comment yesterday.

Annesta Hofer, Grip chief executive, refused to comment when Sowetan contacted her on Friday.

"The disciplinary hearing on the matter has yet to take place and until then, I cannot comment.

"Please phone me in two weeks time, I have nothing to hide," she said, hanging up.
