Planes, choppers under hammer

ANY AUCTION held by Aucor these days is an uplifting experience but this one, at which an outstanding range of planes and helicopters must be sold, is sure to lift you sky high!

ANY AUCTION held by Aucor these days is an uplifting experience but this one, at which an outstanding range of planes and helicopters must be sold, is sure to lift you sky high!

"Don't delay in making an appointment to see these aircraft," says Gavin Spiller, an aviation expert from Aucor.

"This is an opportunity for corporations and individuals that comes only once in a blue moon."

Instructed by various leading bank's repo managers, Aucor will sell several fully airworthy vehicles and some that require a little work to become airworthy at Rand Airport at a site used with kind permission of Gryphen Aerospace.

The airworthy aircraft include a Fairchild Metroliner, Cessna 421C, Golden Eagle 111, Beechcraft Baron 55, Robinson R22 Beta 11 and Robinson R44 Raven, 11 helicopters and many more all fully operational and in excellent condition.

Those requiring a work include a Hawker Siddeley Jet located at Lanseria, Piper Chieftain located at PE and two Saab 340B located at Rand Airport.

The PE and Lanseria-based planes will be sold off photographs.

The auction will take place at Rand Airport, Germiston, on June 18 at 10.30am.

Viewing takes place the day before from 9am to 4pm or by appointment.
