This was the message from Deputy Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba, who promised Parliament yesterday that the new leadership would overhaul the corruption-ridden department.

Home Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said she would embark on a campaign to register the birth of every child under 15.

Gigaba said this would prevent the kind of corruption that occurs when people apply for IDs later on.
