Cosmos to sue Mmboi over deal

JOMO Cosmos owner-coach, Jomo Sono, yesterday said his club will take legal action against Tshifiwa Mmboi for saying that Ezenkosi forced him to sign a two-year contract against his will.

This after Mmboi, who had signed a three-year contract with Kaizer Chiefs, said on Wednesday that Ezenkosi signed him by force.

"We do not really understand how he was forced because he (Mmboi) travelled by taxi from Venda to Polokwane to sign the contract, he also came to our training sessions voluntarily near Rand Stadium," said Sono yesterday.

Andile Ace Ngcobo, Premier Soccer League's general manager for football, said it is possible for a player to sign contracts with many clubs, but it is impossible for many clubs to register one player with the league.

Dynamos' boss Pat Malabela said yesterday: "Cosmos must have been confused by Mmboi's registration card that indicated that the player's contract expired at the end of the season.

"The player had a contract with Dynamos until June next year."
