Albinos want killings to stop

KAMPALA - Albinos in Uganda, angered by the murder of more than 50 members of their community in East Africa, want a seat in parliament to defend their rights, a campaign group said yesterday.

KAMPALA - Albinos in Uganda, angered by the murder of more than 50 members of their community in East Africa, want a seat in parliament to defend their rights, a campaign group said yesterday.

Faith Bwanika, secretary of the Uganda Albino Association, said yesterday they were asking for a seat in Parliament because of a string of murders in Tanzania and Burundi, targeting albinos, over the past two years.
