LIRA's growing fan base will be thrilled to know that she is going to treat them to a night of soulful Afro-pop.

Celebration: Lira - Live In Concert takes place in the Big Top Arena at Carnival City in Brakpan on August 21.

Floating on cloud nine, the lady has every reason to be chuffed after she recently swept the boards at the annual Samas. She won awards for Best Female Solo Artist, Best Adult Contemporary (English), Remix of the Year and Album of the Year for Soul In Mind.

Owing to her busy studio schedule and corporate performances Lira has not performed publicly for a long time, so this is a rare opportunity for fans to see her live on stage.

Lira might have been born and bred in South Africa but she is an international star in her own right. At 29 she has two albums under her belt.

Feel Good was released in Italy and Thailand and last year saw Lira's sound go international with live gigs in Italy and Fiji. Her new album was also recently released in Germany.

At Carnival City Lira will perform with her hugely talented 10-piece band. The concert will be filmed for her first live DVD, which will be released through Sony later this year.
