'Cosmos signed me by force'

KAIZER CHIEFS' latest recruit Tshifiwa Mmboi yesterday claimed he was forced to sign a two-year contract with Jomo Cosmos.

"They verbally harassed me to sign the contract. This was despite the fact that I told them that I was contracted to Dynamos," Mmboi says.

"Andrew Rabutla [Cosmos manager] drove down to Polokwane and was with another guy. Everything happened inside the car," says Mmboi, who has since signed a three-season contract with Kaizer Chiefs

But Rabutla yesterday insisted that Mmboi signed the contract willingly.

"There is no way we can force a player to sign with us while still contracted to another club," Rabutla says. "The boy told us his contract with Dynamos had expired. He also saidhe did not have money to return to NkowaNkowa from Polokwane as he had not yet been paid. We gave him R5000."

But Mmboi insists that Rabutla did not give him any money.

Amakhosi have also signed Zimbabwean striker Knowledge Musona .
