THREE Volleyball South Africa men's national team members have been included in the University Sports South Africa team for the World Student Games in Serbia from July 1 to 12.

THREE Volleyball South Africa men's national team members have been included in the University Sports South Africa team for the World Student Games in Serbia from July 1 to 12.

The three are captain Patrick Klostermann, vice captain Grant Goldsmidt and Leo Williams.

They have also featured in the All Africa Games and Commonwealth Games.

Team South Africa's head of delegation, Sanele Madlala says the team coaches are Loet Groenewald and Andries Kekana with Glynis de Longh serving as the manager.

"We have several players who are exposed to international volleyball and we believe their experience will help the team do well," Madlala said.

Goldsmidt said: "It will be a tough competition in Serbia considering that we have China, Libya, Serbia and Russia in our group but we are really looking forward to do well."

Meanwhile, former volleyball star Ilhaam Groenewald has been appointed the team's head of delegation.

Rendani Mulaudzi, who is also the general manager of First Division League side University of Pretoria, is the deputy head of delegation.
