A STUNNING performance by Joyous Celebration during the group's 13th album tour left Durban fans begging for more on Saturday night.

The Durban International Convention Centre Arena was definitely the place to be for this much-talked-about concert.

So popular was the event that guests started arriving two hours before the show and were already seated well ahead of the opening act. The thousands of fans who packed the arena were left stunned and screaming for more as the concert came to an end shortly after midnight.

The star-studded 25-member group - led by legendary singers such as Jabu Hlongwane, Mthunzi Namba and Ntokozo Mbambo - brought the house down. They kept everyone on their feet with their energetic but spiritual and soothing gospel sounds.

Mbambo and her husband Nqubeko Mbatha stole the show when they performed together. For diehard fans it was more like a love song than gospel and they looked stunningly beautiful while they performed.

After 13 years of producing joyous gospel music, this award-winning group is still going strong.

Hlongwane, who has been part of the group for years, thanked the Durban fans for their continued support and loyalty over the years.

"We always receive support whenever we perform in Durban. With the Durban fans, the show is always sold out. Thank you for your support all these years," said Hlongwane.

The Joyous Celebration nationwide tour continues.
