I AM in a relationship with a guy who I truly love. I love him so much and want to spend the rest of my life with him.
However, I feel unsure about him because of his behaviour. He is extremely disrespectful to his family. At first, I thought his behaviour was due to stress because he quit his job, but now it is really getting out of hand.
I have tried to talk to him, but he blames his family for all his problems.
He is so selfish. I don't want to be trapped in this drama. I need help to solve this problem, which is affecting our relationship.
If he doesn't respect himself and his family, what kind of relationship are we going to build?
Sister, the best thing you can do is put your foot down with this man. Tell him to stop whining and being a victim who blames everyone around him for his woes.
Tell him to grow up and take responsibility for the way he manages his life. He is an adult and must start acting like one.
If he quit his job and is feeling pressurised as a result of his stupid decision to quit before finding another job, that is his problem. His parents had nothing to do with that silly decision. He sounds like a whiner and sounds as if he is a most unpleasant person.
I have to question your sanity for wanting to spend the rest of your life with a man who has a record of irresponsibility and bad management of anger.
Why be with a man who blames others for his problems? Surely you realise that you will take the place of his family when he needs to blame his future bad decisions on someone?
Surely you realise you will just become a new whipping boy?
He needs professional help to deal with the problems he is clearly carrying from his childhood. These are his issues and he must deal with them.
And you, dear heart, need to deal with the issues that make you want to stay with him.
