Twenty-eight female guards were unfairly dismissed by a security company because the client‚ Metrora.
A R100000 reward is being offered for information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of ANC councillor Jimmy Mohlala's murderers.
Mpumalanga police Captain Leonard Hlathi, said: "We have received a few calls since we requested the public's help on May 6, but the information given was not accurate. A reward of R100000 for information that will lead to the arrest and successful conviction of the suspects has now been approved. It was approved to encourage those with information to come forward."
Mohlala, 45, was gunned down outside his house in KaNyamazane, Nelspruit, on January 4 while trying to run away from two assailants. His 21-year-old son was shot and wounded in the attack.
Since his murder two people have been taken in for questioning, but police could not link them to the killing.
