Well-heeled women get the winter look

WHERE do you source Nine West shoes?

WHERE do you source Nine West shoes?

All Nine West shoes are designed in New York by an international design team and then produced in specialised footwear factories in China. Then they land on the shelves of our Nine West stores.

For summer 2009 every girl has to have gladiator sandals, either with a flat or high heel, and a "bling" shoe with lots of sequins, studs and metallic heels.

There is also a great flat thong sandal in the season's key colours and fabrics: watermelon pink, vibe blue and bright metallics in faux snakeskin and great leathers.

Tips to maintain shoes

Your shoes make you look good. In turn you have to keep your shoes always looking good! Here are five tips to keep your shoes looking like new:

Remember to get your high heels re-tipped regularly - a scruffy tip is a huge no-no!

Always wipe your shoes after use, and allow them to "breathe".

lDo not throw your shoes in your cupboard on top of one another. They will become scuffed and look tatty. Use a shoe rack.

Leather and suede should be cleaned with care products.

When driving, take your shoes off, to avoid scuff marks.

Which are the must-have shoes this winter?

Patent is a strong trend, so it is essential to have a heeled pump in a variety of finishes, from gunmetal to black and, of course, what woman can do without her winter staple, the classic riding boot, suitable for casual and smart occasions.

What shoe do you think all women should have?

A great pair of black heels, that can be worn day into night.

Do you ever have to travel for your job?

Nine West is in Manhattan, the fashion hub of New York. I travel there about six times a year.

What do you do with the products that don't get sold?

At the end of each season we do an in-store markdown, and we continue to mark down until all styles have been cleared at our Nine West retail stores. - Keitumetse Segoai
