Well done to Putco drivers

The reader who complained about Putco in your paper this week has the nerve to attack the bus company as they are the only ones that have provided an alternative for Metrobus commuters in the past month.

I am disgusted at the way he dragged Putco through the mud. Firstly, because Thuli, Ben, Jacob and all our other drivers try their best to accommodate commuters as well as those struggling to get to work during the strike.

They cannot take the risk of overloading because that could lead to accidents and that could lead to culpable homicide charges.

Do you ever consider that we all have families and that these drivers have responsibilities? No? I didn't think so!

I stand on a main road in Florida every morning. If Thuli passes me, I understand that the bus is full. So I have to wait for the next one.

Once our buses are full, they have no choice but to go straight to their destinations.

Metrobus commuters have sacrificed and walked many miles to get a Putco bus. If they can do that, so can you.

Get up earlier and walk to the bus stop. That's what they are there for!

Think again before you condemn Putco buses. I am quite proud that they have somehow managed the past month! Well done to all the drivers at Putco!
