The new public protector says she will leave the dispute over the state capture report prepared by h.
JACOB Zuma is going to need another telephone system for all the complaints he's going to get about the government not doing its job.
That's if he goes ahead with his promise to set up a reporting line direct to his administration. I remain sceptical considering how many promises have been made in the past, only to be broken.
But I will give the ANC the benefit of the doubt and hope that when they do get those calls reporting corruption that they follow up and follow through.
There's no point in having people report corruption if nothing is done to remove corrupt officials or politicians from office.
And I mean proper removal (that is dismissal) and not redeployment.
Like many, I await publication of the number and I will be encouraging people to use it.
