Mabuza's loudness is understandable, though. He will fight at home in Springs for the first time since he turned professional after 400 fights in the amateur ranks.
Mabuza, from Tsakane, fights the Colombian for the number one spot at Springs Indoor Centre. To cap it all, the 12-rounder will be broadcast live on SABC's Blow by Blow at 10pm.
In his long and illustrious boxing career Mabuza boasts 22 victories, 18 by knockout, and only two defeats, all outside his home town.
"At last I will fight at home and South Africans young and old will see me live in action," said Mabuza.
"Wow! I just can't express myself outside the ring. Yinde lendoda kodwa-ke sizokhweza siphinde sikhuphule. Uya phansi ayikho enye indlela."
Loosely translated it means "this guy is tall but I will be digging deep up and down. There is no other way, he is going down".
Perez promised to reward South Africans with a lion-hearted show.
"Wherever we have been here, people have been so good to us, so they must come and see a good fight on Friday," he said.
Promoters Branco Milenkovic and Jacob Matlala announced yesterday that tickets were available at Computicket outlets and Shoprite-Checkers stores countrywide.
They are selling at R100 for ringside seats and R50 for normal seating.
