Zille's abuse has roots at Quatro

By unknown | May 21, 2009 | COMMENTS [ 0 ]

The blatant disrespect for a democratically elected government and especially a female premier in Western Cape is typical ANC behaviour.

There is much proof that Umkhonto weSizwe administrators (Mbokodo) were responsible for the torture and murder of their own comrades in camps such as Quatro in Angola.

Many of these abuses were against female comrades. The ANC's own Stuart commission of inquiry into human rights abuses in the camps stated: "There is a widespread belief that women are sex objects and that they do not develop politically and militarily."

This disrespect for women and belief that they are mere objects that are unable to develop forms the basis for the attack on Helen Zille.

It appears that a culture developed in the ANC during the struggle that women are mere sex objects and that ANC women have now been promoted to the status of pawns that fill political quotas. One must also not forget that Jacob Zuma was the ANC's head of intelligence when abuses against women were taking place in the camps. His silence at that time perhaps explains his current attitude towards women. MK and the ANC Youth League are merely following his example.
